First web programming assignment
In my first web-development class my freshman year at Wellesley College, our final project was to incorporate everything we had learned into a website for a client.
Shannon Brown and myself were tasked with designing a website for a Turkish Bazaar store in downtown Wellesley. Both of us having been interested in design previously, we were excited for the job at hand. We soon learned that all components of the design were very particular, as our client had pre-selected fonts and stylistic features that she wanted.
With the strict limitations, we were able to create a very user friendly website, with a main navigation and drop down menus for each type of item sold at the store. The client supplied us with images that she wanted displayed, as well as all of the text on the page. Our final product was exactly in line with the client's wishes.
We learned the importance of being able to navigate the clients wishes while creating something that has a straightforward user experience.
